Deal Strategy Intern
Description
IAG is seeking students interested in learning about our growing IP Transaction Advisory practice, which assists Fortune 500 companies and investment firms with maximizing the strategic value of their IP portfolio. Interns are responsible for providing ad-hoc support to our deal teams; exposure includes due diligence, analytical, and transactional support on IP acquisitions, divestitures, and portfolio valuations.
This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement with occasional travel, though Analysts are encouraged to work from one of IAG’s offices in New York, Detroit, or Seattle
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct due diligence of complex technologies and identify corresponding IP of strategic value
Provide analytical and transactional support on client engagements
Conduct IP portfolio valuation analyses using internal and external data to develop appropriate pricing for license or sale
Prepare client-ready IP portfolio summary decks for both buy-side and sell-side engagements
Requirements and Qualifications
Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a leading undergraduate institution, preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g., mathematics, computer science, business, or engineering)
Analytical work experience developing client-facing materials in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred
