Patent Paralegal
Description
IAG is seeking experienced patent paralegals to join our growing team. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience supporting patent attorneys, and in filing documents with the USPTO and PCT.
This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement with occasional travel, though Analysts are encouraged to work from one of IAG’s offices in New York, Detroit, or Seattle
Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively support team members on routine and non-routine intellectual property work processes and product
Assist in patent portfolio research and reporting, prepare file history research and analysis, and conduct case law research with both US and foreign jurisdiction consideration
Support or drive case management such as workflows, task lists, status updates, timing, and overall case organization
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution
General knowledge of patent filing and prosecution rules/regulations
Experience effectively and efficiently managing numerous cases and/or projects under time-sensitive deadlines with little to no oversight
Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with personnel from different cultures located internationally
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
High proficiency with MS Office Suite; usage of subscription based patent search databases a plus
